Ship Management Head Division |

The Ship Management Head Division generalizing administers Ship Management Supervising Department and
the safety Administration Department, Ship Management Department No.1 and Ship Management Department
No.2. Moreover, the Tanker Management department is controlling directly administered.
The Ship Management Head Division supports marine and navigation assistance, technical assistance, and
the expense control budget to an in-house part.

Safety Administration Office |
 |
The Safety Administration Office is primarily engaged in management services for the maintenance and
management of the Safety Management System (ISM Code), Quality Management System (ISO 9001-2000),
but it also undertakes such services as collecting information on the movements of PSC and external
organizations, their inspections and recommendations, and marine casualties. It analyzes and feeds back the
results, thus contributing to the enhancement of safe and efficient ship operations and protection of the
environment.

Ship Management Department No.1 & No.2 And Tanker Office

Staff members of these departments and division are organized by Superintendents with extensive experience
and technical knowledge, and undertake multiple duties covering a wide range of ship-owners' services such as
providing guidance on ship navigation, cargo stowage and operations, hull and machinery maintenance
management, outfitting supervision of new construction, processing hull and machinery insurance underwriting
and P&I insurance including ship sales and purchases.
Ships under our management include LPG tankers, large bulkers, coal carriers, multi-purpose cargo ships,
container ships, lumber carriers, and pure car carriers. The number of ships under management totals 65 at
present. Recognizing that an important mission of these departments and office in ship management is to
maintain a good balance between the competing goals of increasing the safety of ships and reducing shipping
costs, they make every effort to meet the requirements of both ship-owners and charterers.
Acquisitions of Safety Management Certificate meeting the ISM Code and Quality Management Certificate
complying with ISO 9001-2000 further reflect our efforts to meet the requirements of ship-owners and
charterers.

To effectively curtail shipping costs, our members engaged in ship management
services make extra efforts to promote shipboard maintenance together with ship's
crew members to minimize the amount of work entrusted to shore contractors. To
back up this policy, and ensure effective penetration of the policy among our
customers, frequent ship visits by SI are performed and highly competent men are
selected from the home countries of crew members to receive on-the-job training
with our office personnel.
At present, registered non-Japanese Superintendents including Filipinos already
have service records of 10 or more years.
When purchasing lubricating oils, parts, ship's stores, etc., price trends are kept
under strict surveillance at all times through the coordination activities of the
company's business department. And, by promoting bulk purchases, benefits of
scale are fully reflected on the ship-owner's ship operating economics.
In conclusion, we believe that ship management services aim to achieve the best
results by optimizing the ship operating market and ship-owner's economics.
[How do consulting services relate to maritime technology,engineering, and ship purchases and sales?]
Staff members have extensive experience and track records of professional
consulting services including those related to the specifications of new
construction and repairs, outfitting supervision up to completion of shipbuilding
work and guarantee work, and delivery. Our many cargo safety superintendents
contribute to cargo operations featuring enhanced safety and cargo-operating
efficiency by attending cargo operations. Consulting services in the field of ship
sales and purchases with domestic and overseas owners on the basis of extensive
experience are among our key strengths.
In parallel with the growing trend of the diversification of the off-shore ship
registry business, we possess knowledge and expertise on registering ships in
overseas ports/countries including Panama, Liberia, Kypros, Philippines,
Singapore, and Marshal Islands.

Seafarers Department |

The Marine Personnel Department handles transfers of crews serving on ships under our management, personal
data management of crews, management of crew's licenses and documents, crew training, transmission of ship
money, applications for P&I Insurance compensation (crew-related claims), crew injury statistics assessment and
analysis, and all other services connected to crew manning. At present, ships under our management are served, in
a stable manner, by about 1,500 healthy and competent Filipinos Japanese, Myanmares, Koreans, Chinese,
Vietnamese, and Bangladeshis (seven nationalities in total).
With respect to Filipino crews, a joint venture was established in Manila in 1975, which has served as a good
supply source of competent and trained crews to ships under our management.
For crews of other nationalities, we have close links with local manning companies to secure seafarers, and to
improve their competency and provide them with education and training programs designed for seafarers. As a
result, we man ships under management with competent seafarers, while raising the repeater ratio.

The Business Department deals in shipbuilding and repair equipment and materials, ship's stores, lubricating oils,
etc., under the corporate policy of providing customers with quality products at competitive prices, which are
achieved by purchasing ship's equipment, machinery and stores in bulk at low prices.
Furthermore, the Business Department maintains good business relationships, as an all-round ship management
company, with domestic and overseas ship-owners through a close communication network established through
enthusiastic day-to-day efforts. It is envisioned that the company will grow as a corporate entity capable of offering
quality services for ship management, outfitting supervision, and ship sales and purchases around the globe.

Legal and Contact Affairs Office |

The Legal and Contract Affairs Department provides the Ship Management Department and masters of our \
managing ships with advice of preventive measures to the difficulties arising from charter party, as well as advice
of responding to the contractual troubles in our ship management. The Department also provides customers
with advisory services for conclusion of charter party.
Moreover, the department provides a variety of services for confirming the legal contents of ship management
or manning contracts, and for giving advice to contract or renew the hull and machinery insurance with underwriters
or P & I insurance with P & I club.

Accounting and Coordinating Department |

The Operation Department processes a large volume of data on shipping costs rapidly and
accurately, using a cost management accounting system developed by our company,
exchanges information with the relevant sections of the company to ensure a down-to-the-
earth cost management, and provides customers with detailed and timely information.
The department serves as a coordinator for contracting the hull & machinery insurance and
P&I insurance.
